Fungi! Fun Guy?

By now I am sure it has become apparent that I love nature.  Flowers, trees, birds, bugs - I love them all.  I also have a soft spot for fungus.  You know, mushrooms!  They show up after nice rains and sometimes look so disgusting you cannot bear to look at them.  But other times, they are little perfect spears of color.  Here is a small collection of what I have seen so far this year.


This first one was really cool - it even has ants crawling over the cap.

This next one just struck me as neat.  All the decaying vegetation around the mushroom was drab and this little orange thing was just popping out of it all. 

 The yellow color of this next mushroom was awesome.

 This following picture is my current favorite picture.  I think it turned out so well.

 The sheer quantity of these mushrooms was what I liked about this bunch of mushrooms.

 Loved the little bits of mushroom on the cap on this one.
