Super Twink - Starring as... Himself!

I haven't posted lately about Sniper!  When Snipes is doing really well, we call him Super Twink.  It's a smash-up between Super Pony and Twinkie (aka, not so Super Pony).  In essence, when I say, "What a Super Twink!" it's because he's doing fantastically!  And he is.  While I do admit that it's very hard to train a horse when you only ride for an hour or so a week, I do admit that I have a very nice horse.  AND thankfully he isn't one of those horses which needs consistent riding to make any sort of progress.
The Barn Owner decided first thing this spring to cut down the size of the field he and his buddies live in.  Horse people call this a 'starvation paddock' because it drastically limits the amount of food they have access to.  However, it does help horses, like Sniper, who 'get fat on air'.  His weight is THE BEST it's been in three years.  And he's so shiny and healthy, too.  (Do ignore the above picture - he's not entirely shed out, nor groomed!)

Our riding is going really well, too.  I am starting to be able to fix issues on my own and have progressed to being able to have a nice canter, and be able to problem-shoot in the canter too.  SO exciting.
We recently had a group lesson...  About 9 people rode and we swapped out ponies throughout.  I got to ride a few other horses, and other people rode Sniper.  We had a blast!
:)
